The Alarm.com ADC-VDBA-WP Video Doorbell Mounting Wall Plate that is installed between the ADC-VDB770 and the wall. Mounting wall screws and anchors (the same type as what is included with the ADC-VDB770) are also included with each unit.
The mounting wall plate is designed to cover up existing holes or missing paint due to a previous doorbell that would not be covered by the footprint of the ADC-VDB770 itself. The mounting plate is wide enough to cover the width of a Skybell HD Wi-Fi Doorbell Camera so that any missing paint or screw holes will be covered.

Installation
Place the mounting plate against the mounting surface, and then do either of the following:
Thread the mounting screws through the mounting bracket and outer (highest and lowest) holes on the wall plate.
Thread the mounting screws through the back plate and inner holes on the wall plate.
