INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Dear photographer, thank you for purchasing Artistic bokeh filters kit. We hope that our product will help to make your works original and unique The term "bokeh" comes from Japanese (
ボケ
)
which means blur or haze. To put it simply, bokeh is out-of-focus parts of the image. Usually, it concerns the background. Using our set of filters you can create artistic bokeh of various shapes. You just need to close the frontal camera lens with a filter from our set. If night city lights, lanterns, Christmas lights or light beams are on the blurred backgroud, they will aquire the shape of your filter. You can choose the most suitable one to fit your composition. To get the best results, use filters on fast lenses with aperture size up to F/2.5. The set includes adapters for various lenses. Artistic bokeh filters can be used for 52 mm lenses without an adapter. To create the most artistic bokeh you need to follow the instructions below: • bend the filter’s tab (Fig . 1) and insert it into the frontal lens. The filter's plastic does not break while bending. Use an adapter (Fig. 2), if the diameter of your lens is bigger. For 49 mm lenses, you need to use the adapter ring (Fig. 3), which can be purchased separately. • set your camera in manual mode (M) or aperture priority mode (A) (Fig. 4 ) • select the aperture size from the lowest number up to F/2.5 (Fig. 5) • focus on the nearest object, using Autofocus mode; or defocus the lens by focus ring when using camera in Manual focus mode (Fig.6) • take a picture. The background should be located at sufficient distance from the object (Fig. 7) Please note that while using filters in some of SLR cameras, it may be impossible to apply autofocus mode through the viewfinder. In this case you should focus your camera through LCD display. Use a tripod when shooting at long exposure at night. Safety measures: • Keep the box and the product away from children. Torn plastic parts and small parts may be dangerous. • Do not insert fingers into the filters' holes. • Avoid touching your lens with filters or adapters. • It is recommended to use the filters with a protective filter, placing Artistic bokeh filters in front of it.
