How to Use :

Suggested Installation Location:
1. Recommended to install an alarm on every floor of a multi-storey house, including every bedroom, corridor, finished attic and basement. If the length of the corridor or room exceeds 30 feet (9.1meter), please sound an alarm at both ends of the bedroom corridor or large room. If there is only one alarm, make sure to place it in the hallway or master bedroom outside the main sleeping area. Confirm that the alarm can be heard in all sleeping areas. Find an alarm in every room where someone is sleeping with the door closed. A closed door may prevent the alarm from waking the sleeper.
2. Install the alarm on the ceiling in the center of the room so that it is closest to all points in the room. Ceiling installation is the first choice in ordinary residential buildings. When installing the alarm on the ceiling, place the alarm at least 4 inches (10 cm) from the side wall (see Figure A).
3. Install the alarm on the wall, at least 4 inches (10 cm) below the ceiling and a maximum of 12 inches (30.5 cm) below the ceiling (please refer to the figure below).
Where not to install:
1. Do not install in the garage, kitchen, furnace room or bathroom! Install at least 15 feet away from any fuel burning equipment.
2. Do not install within the following 3 feet (0.9meter) range: kitchen or bathroom doors with friction or showers, forced air ducts for heating or cooling, ceilings or ventilators throughout the house or other high airflow areas .
3. Avoid using in dusty, dirty or greasy places. Dust, grease or household chemicals can contaminate the alarm sensor and cause it to fail to operate properly. Place the alarm where curtains or other objects will not block the sensor. CO must be able to get the sensor to accurately detect these conditions.
4. Do not install it in the peak of a vaulted ceiling, "A" shaped ceiling or gable roof. Keep away from humid places. Stay at least one foot away from fluorescent lights, otherwise electronic noise may cause nuisance alarms. Extreme temperatures will affect the sensitivity of the CO alarm.
5. Do not install it in an area where the temperature is lower than 40°F (4.4℃) or higher than 100℉ (37.8℃), far away from doors and window facing the outside.
Note:

4. The alarm sound pattern is four short beeps. In alarm mode, the red LED indicator will flash.
5. "Chi" is emitted every 40 seconds to indicate that the battery is low (need to be replaced)
6. The Test / Reset button is used to test the electronic components of the device and verify whether the device is operating normally, and to reset the device when a CO alarm occurs.
7. Alarm storage function: If the machine has issued an alarm and the button is not pressed during this period, press the button, the green LED will flash once per second for one minute, and the peak alarm level will be displayed on the LCD (for C20A) .
8. Green and red LED indicators indicate normal operation and alarm status.
9. After turning on, the machine will make a "chi" sound, and the red LED will flash once.
10. Power saving function: 4 beeps every 5 seconds at the beginning. In 4 minutes, it will change to 4 beeps every minute to save battery.
11.3-digit LCD is optional. "LB" on the LCD indicates that the battery is low (need to be replaced), and "990PPM" on the LCD indicates that the CO level exceeds 990ppm. Under normal circumstances, the LCD does not light up. It will light up when the test/reset button is pressed and the CO concentration exceeds 30ppm. (For C20A)
Please keep the air dry for a few minutes when starting up. Otherwise, the unit will keep beeping and “Err” will be displayed on the LCD screen. If it is, go to an open place and reinstall the battery. Still beeping all the time. Within 1 minute after installing the battery, the machine starts to detect CO.
Green LED: The green LED flashes once every 40 seconds, indicating that the device is operating normally.
Red LED: When a dangerous level of carbon monoxide is detected, the red LED will flash and an alarm will sound.
The carbon monoxide (CO) alarm monitors lots of carbon monoxide in the air. When there is a large amount of carbon monoxide, the alarm will sound with flashing red LED lights.
Note: This alarm will only indicate lots of carbon monoxide in the sensor. Carbon monoxide gas may be present in other areas.
