T-Mount Lens Adapter for Micro 4/3 Camera
The T-mount is a standard lens mount
to mate cameras to lenses, telescopes, microscopes,
bellows, and other optical assemblies. The T mount is a screw mount using a male 42 x 0.75 (42mm diameter, 0.75 mm thread pitch) metric thread on the lens with a flange focal distance of 55mm and a mating female 42mm thread on a camera adapter or other optical component. This thread form is referred to as T-thread. (This should not be confused with the M42 lens mount, which in comparison is also 42 mm diameter, but has a 1mm thread pitch and is not equivalent.)  As a common mechanical interface, the T-mount allows components of various manufacturers to be interchanged and assembled. Besides cameras, T-mounts are used in the conversion and mounting of optical breadboard prototyping components as well as with telescope and microscope attachments. The T-mount is also a standard way to mount a camera to a microscope to photograph pathological specimen slides or to a 1.25″ telescope eyepiece.  Overall, the T-Mount provides excellent advantages and benefits for photographers in the field of
astrophotography, microscopic photography, and various other forms of photography using additional optical systems.  Note:
While using the T-Mount, some camera functions such as autofocus, automatic diaphragm (AE metering), and other electronic functions between the camera body and lens will be disrupted. You will need to set exposures and focus manually or meter in aperture priority (stop-down) mode. If the lens does not have a manual aperture collar, the aperture will be stopped down to the smallest f/stop.
