Vintage HD Smith & Co. 10 1/2” Perfect Handle Monkey Wrench Patent 10/30/1900
Rare example of an HD Smith & Co. Monkey Wrench.  This 10 1/2” version has been lightly cleaned up and re-lubed.  Operation is super smooth throughout the range.  Adjustable screw spins freely with single digit.  Jaws are 1 1/2” deep and opens to 1 3/4”.  “Perfect Handle” design has riveted wood grips.  Rivets and grips are tight and without looseness.  The wood has a slight standout on one side due to a slight bend of the handle, last picture.  I did not attempt to straighten.  Solid one piece design handle and body doubles as a hammer.  Nice condition for 120 year old.  2 pounds 5 ounces.
