    Vintage
Single Screw Ligature
    For
    Metal Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece
    Otto Link?
    Made c.1930’s to 1940’s?
    Great Condition
Selling off some of my personal items that have been kicking around my shop for ages. When I say ages, I mean more than 20 years.
Having spent 27 years working on 48th Street, New York’s famous Music Row, I came to handle, buy and sell thousands of items. Honestly I can’t remember when or how I acquired most of the items I’m putting up for sale the next few days.
Offered is vintage ligature for a metal tenor mouthpiece. It’s been in my shop drawer for more than 20 years so I know it’s old. Look at the photos, ask questions and come to your own conclusions. It’s in great condition despite the discoloration and a touch of verdigris.
It most closely resembles the single screw ligatures for the Otto Link New York Metal mouthpieces. These were made in the late 1930’s to 1940’s. I’ve always felt a shared spirit with Otto Link being that he worked and made mouthpieces on the same street where I was located. So I used to keep quite a few old Links on hand to study. Those days are gone (thank you dear Rockefeller Corporation for shutting me down along with Manny’s, Sam Ash, Rudy’s, Alex Music, etc, guess it was time to retire for all of us). So passing these items along.
A reasonable offer will be considered.
I hope someone can either identify this or just make use of it.
Thanks for looking and stay well!
